Stellar Remnants

Stellar Remnants draws inspiration from the scientific stellar remnants, the final stage of a star's evolution AKA the aftermath of its death. This installation was a space for processing the losses within my family and to imagine what might come after death — captured in the form of home videos and glowing light. Projected family footage is mapped to reflect off the mirrored star sculptures, creating a star pattern onto the ceiling. In this work, stars symbolize the ends of existence: the birth of life and the transformation that follows death and loss.
