Stellar Remnants

Stellar Remnants draws inspiration from the scientific stellar remnants, the final stage of a star's evolution and the aftermath of its death. This installation was a space for processing the losses within my family and to imagine what might come after death, captured in the form of home videos and glowing light. Projected family footage is mapped to reflect off the mirrored star sculptures, creating a star pattern onto the ceiling. In this work, stars symbolize the ends of existence: the birth of life and the transformation that follows death and loss.
